Rationale
As you are aware Fortismere has been running an enrichment program as part of the curriculum for two years called Enrichment for All. A wealth of non-curricular opportunities has been made available to students allowing them to really explore and add breadth to their experience within school.
The program is about to be re-launched for September 2014. The revised program will allow for more accredited courses, visiting practitioners, trips, end of term performances and exhibitions. We want ALL activities to be open to ALL students regardless of their background. In order to achieve the above we are hoping to raise additional funding to supplement the schools generous Enrichment budget that will, in turn, enable all enrichment choices to be FREE to all students at the point of delivery.
We are calling on parents, carers and students to donate a sum of money to support the work of Fortismere's Enrichment programme for 2014/15. Our target for the Autumn Term is £3000 (equivalent to each child involved giving £2.50). This additional money will not only help us deliver many of the current enrichment offers that ask parents/carers to cover the cost of just their child but also allow us to make new and exciting opportunities such as Arts Mark Award, Stage Combat and Cheerleading available to EVERY student regardless of financial background.
We would LOVE you to be involved, if you feel able. We want Fortismere to be a collective that considers the community, not a school where individuals think about their own, personal gain. Please donate to enable us to grow and nurture our enrichment provision and ensure your children are given inspirational, professional and worthwhile experiences throughout their time with us. In return we promise to ensure the enrichment provision goes from strength to strength and your children feel valued, nurtured and inspired by the activities on offer. We will provide a report at Christmas to let you know how it has gone, any developments we are making and what the next stage will involve.

We made it! (Sep 25th 2014)
We wanted to write to express our thanks for all the contributions to Fortismere’s Enrichment Programme. We were delighted with the response and so grateful for the school community's generosity. As a community we raised an amazing £3688. Thank you!
Our enrichment programme now has the resources to move from strength to strength. All students are now allocated to an enrichment which will run until Christmas. We will evaluate the term’s provision through student and staff feedback and communicate the results and next steps through the newsletter.
We would love to hear any feedback you or your child may have. Please do pass it on via [email protected].
