What do our students say?
Enrichment gives us:
Enrichment gives us:
- a breadth of new experiences that push us outside our comfort zone
- opportunities to mingle with other students which helps build trust and improve teamwork
- experience of potential areas of further study and career paths
- space to develop our creativity
- time to build on existing skills
- a break from exam focused lessons- a chance to do something different
What does the school say?
Students will benefit from:
Students will benefit from:
- learning a wider range of skills
- experiencing a rich and broad extra-curricular programme
- vertical learning groups
- developing their independence and creativity
- gaining knowledge that stretches beyond programmes of study and exam syllabi
- recognising a talent they may not have recognised before
- building working relationships with staff outside curriculum lessons
To make Enrichment a success we must all fully commit ourselves to every session.
Every effort will be made to give students the activity they want. The school will ensure that all sessions are planned and resourced appropriately. Where possible, activities will result in a qualification or an exhibition, presentation or celebration of what has been achieved over the term.
We expect that in return students will come to sessions prepared to fully engage with the session. This means arriving ready to learn, wearing the right kit, contributing to discussions and being proactive in every sense depending on the content of the enrichment.
